Simply put, we are Christians. Which means we
are followers of Jesus Christ.
We aim to
follow the examples of the Bible and be like the first century
church:
~ A people who believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired
Word of God. 2Tim 3:16-17, 2 Peter
1:20-21
~ A people who depend upon the
Bible for instruction in matters of salvation,
worship, faith, doctrine and life. 2
Tim 3:16-17
~ A people who recognize their own sin, and need of a
Savior. 1 John
1:8-9
~ A people who believe that
Jesus left heaven and came to earth, as both man and God
simultaneously, was born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless
life, and became the perfect sacrifice as He was crucified
on the cross, died, and was buried and on the third day rose
again. Mark 16:16, John
20:31
~ A people who confess their sin and their
need for Jesus as LORD, Christ, and Savior. Romans 9, 1 John 1:8-9
~ A people who repent of sin, and
have chosen to worship God. Acts 2:38, Acts 17:30
~ A people who have been baptized for the
forgiveness of their sins and have received the Holy Spirit as a
result. Acts 2:38, Mark
16:16
~ A people who continually choose
to continue in the faith. Philip 2:12, Col 1:22-23
~ A people dedicated to the preaching of the gospel,
teaching of the Bible, and serving the needy. Matt 28:18-20, Gal 2:10
~ A family of believers dedicated to prayer, the
scripture, the breaking of bread, and fellowship with God and
each other. Acts
2:42 |
